Dexero DDA gives educational institutions in Québec a way to standardize, facilitate and expedite the reporting process for the reproduction of works protected by the Copyright Act. DDA lets colleges and universities produce copyright declarations to use for books, magazines, journals or case law and comply with the standards
set by Copibec.
DDA simplifies and automates the processes and applies the standard’s clauses as you create your declaration.
An intuitive, user-friendly interface. A presentation with a sample declaration and an online helpdesk
A “copy” feature lets you reuse the content from
a declaration for another course or semester
Create a directory of courses offered by your institution to make them more accessible
for declarations
No user limit, so all employees in your institution can access the system; staff can also produce their own declarations, with final approval being granted by one or more administrators Warning messages when Copibec’s standards are not being respected
A structured, step-by-step declaration process.
Free email and phone support for administrators
Automatic updates when the rules in Copibec’s standards change. Ability to integrate declarations for works that are excluded by Copibec, but for which you hold special copyright authorizations.
When more than 20% of a work’s total page count is used, administrators can ask for pay-per-use licences from Copibec by simply clicking a link. The information is sent to Copibec, which can then issue a licence. The answer is then emailed to the administrator, who can then accept or reject the fees directly in the request.
Dda is integrated with Copibec, so it can manage exclusions and complex rules when a declaration is being created.
In addition to an internal authentication account, Dda lets you use your institution’s authentication system to authenticate users. Using an LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol), Dda authenticates the user’s username and password, then grants access to the program.
No installation required, all you need is a computer, an Internet connection and an updated browser.
